THE BLOG IS BACK!
The Happiest of Days is back and better than ever and is proud to bring to you exclusively that PENN STATE NITTANY LIONS coach Joseph VINCENT Paterno, will be back on the sideline following hip surgery for the Rose Bowl against the Trjoan Man.
What THOD is not please to report is that that the last 82 year old to be the "brand new recipient of plastic hip" did not fare theee well in his first sporting event back.......
In other news, the best VINCENT of all time remains VINCENT Hannah of the movie HEAT "Cause she got a GRREEEATTT ASS!! AND YOU GOT YOUR HEAD, ALL THE WAY UP IT!"
Lastly, shame on that other turd blog, CHODE, or LOAD, or the whathaveu, for not breaking this story, as they blow PSU on a daily basis, sucking it down.

Now Hear This...
Last night as I was walking down glorious Main Street, in anytown, USA, I thought to myself, boy, this is the best, the best time of year. The best Jerry, the best.
PHILS!!! First Pitch 8:27pm.
Things like Phillies, Frat, a chill in the air, wedding after wedding, Radiohead, Californiciation, Ice Cole Miller Lite, make the struggling time that this country is going through sort of well, bittersweet.
You see we find ourselves hit hard at THOD by the recent economic developments as well. Real Hard. How hard that is, I flat don't know, but I'm sure we are. Maybe one less Ice Cole Miller Lite for me at Thursday's Phillies game. Perhaps, subtract one $5 bomb, if you will.
I know the Big Cook has pledged to cut back on his number of taking ones, heart attacks per year that is, thereby saving the great state of Virginia thousands of dollars in wasteful spending analyzing RED BULL and VODKA intake.
I also know this, after watching the past couple of days and Sarah Palin's points about Bam's ole friends Bill Ayers and Rev Wright, despite the country's pocketbook being jammed in the nuts. I was thinking a fair comparison could be made.
MY FRIENDS, its sort of like when I was driving to 30th Street Station this morning hoping for banterfilled Phillies discussion filling my 6 mile jaunt, maybe insight into how the Phillies are going to attack the red-hot Russell Martin, or maybe something I didn't know, like how Jimmy Rollins taught Pat Burrell how to play "dice" at a high school showcase, my ears were polluted on our local sports radio station with news and screaming about this:
My point, is simple, neither of them really matter right now. Talk about what people really care about. Otherwise, if you get caught up in that B.S. you're simply, well, a.....

This Post for you - and by the looks 0f you buddy, I'd go with the shredded wheat.
Although its been quiet in THOD land recently, everything is well, and as you can imagine it truly has been The Happiest of Days.
The Phillies continue to roll, fall is almost upon us, and Penn State is off to a good start.
Even though we've been under somewhat of a hiatus, we still remind you that we are the leader in blog news, and always will be.

RIP (Rest in Pond)
As we rejoice in the glory that is another Phillies victory, I have an terrible announcement to make.
My pond at 116 Hermit has expired. It went quickly around 7:30pm tonight. It has lived a good life, enjoying the minnows of the Manayunk Schuylkill living in it for all of 3 days before they were wiped out and taken and by a neighboring cat. (No word on if the cat was Megan's ("eat your nails you pussy") but odds are it was. That bitch.
The pond also provided a good hundred mosquito bites before it was hoisted out of my back yard this eve. Bottom line is this, the pond had to put down due to leakage, that leakage very similar to the one suffered by the individual formerly and currently known as "Milky Whites"
It is at this time I would like to simultaneously announce the retirement of the ponds caretaker, Crazy J. Crazy will move onto other duties in retirement, including searching for internet videos of the cat that ate my fish, as well as legally changing his name to MEOW MEOW. He will also become chairman of the pageant of the bizarre.
If you'd like to enjoy the soothing sound of water, feel free to pick it up, as it resides in my alley way until the biggest day of the week, next Tuesday, garbage day. Because, of course, "a pond would be good for you."

Do a solid, be there for your bud. Have a bud with him. Got somethin else goin on? It can wait. Then go enjoy some great plump ass, white pant style.
